Ysan Roche explodes onto the scene with Bass Gun
‘Bass Gun’ is the debut UK single from enigmatic singer, experimental multimedia artist and fashion designer, Ysan Roche, set for release on November 26th 2012.
Recorded in London and produced by Yoad Nevo (Pet Shop Boys, Goldfrapp, Girls Aloud), ‘Bass Gun’ is an infectious dancefloor filler with lyrics inspired by Ysan’s personal experiences. The single deals with society’s assumptions.
Born in Romania Ysan has travelled extensively from the age of 10, embracing all cultures and experimenting in the arts until finding her ‘home’ in New York city. Ysan found a metropolis which invited individual expression and allowed her to openly explore themes of music, attitude and sexuality.
Ysan Roche is a true creative who has adopted many roles, from dancer and model to producer, taking in Munich and Berlin and many cities in between. Through struggles and hard times, Ysan has shown the determination of someone who lives for their art.
Her love for electronic and house music can be clearly heard in debut single ‘Bass Gun’. A vocal that nods to modern Madonna material, this is an impressive debut with an infectious and feisty chorus.
Ysan will be one of the headline acts at this year’s ‘UNHINGED FESTIVAL’ which takes place from November 23rd at the Electric, Brixton. The single is taken from forthcoming album ‘Vagabondivas’.
