Moksha Medicine to release debut single Spindle Thief
Taking their name from Aldous Huxley's writings on visionary experiences, Moksha Medicine may just be one of London's most exciting new acts right now. With influences coming from a sprawling range of genres such as psychadelia, surf-punk and drone, the band have built up a wild reputation for their enigmatic and chaotic live shows, making them firm favourites of legendary left-of-centre promoters Bad Vibrations.
After releasing their debut EP 'Moksha' in early January, Moksha Medicine are now set to release their first official single 'Spindle Thief' on September 15th. Describing their sound as “Spacemen 3 injected with Grace Slick and Omar Khorshid”, 'Spindle Thief' begins with an Eastern style riff, before launching into an adrenaline-fuelled wall of sound complimented by bass lines reminiscent of Kim Deal-era Pixies.
One of the most refreshingly different tracks of the year, 'Spindle Thief' serves as a perfect introduction to a band primed to break out of the underground. The new single will be released on September 15th 2014, with a single launch show at the Shacklewell Arms on September 10th.
